When you open a page
We operate the website server ourselves. To deliver a page, it receives your IP address and ordinary technical details of the request, such as the requested page and browser headers. Operational or security logs may also record the time of the request and the server response.
We use this information to deliver the site, keep it working, diagnose faults and investigate misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Technical records are kept only while needed for these operational and security purposes, then deleted according to the server's retention settings.
The public site does not provide an account or a contact form. Its code does not run advertising or analytics trackers.
When you write to us
The email links on this site open your own mail application. If you send us a message, we process the sender address, any name or company details you include, the message and any attachments to understand and respond to your enquiry.
Our usual legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and exploring a possible working relationship (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If you personally ask us to take steps toward a contract with you, Article 6(1)(b) may also apply. Providing this information is voluntary, but we need an address and enough context to reply.
Correspondence is kept while the matter and reasonable follow-up are ongoing. If an engagement results, applicable contractual and legal retention duties may require us to keep related records longer.
Language preference
When you choose a language on the site, we save that choice in your browser's local storage under cylantro-lang. The site uses it to show your preferred language on a later visit. To return from the blog in the same language, we also store the current page language for this browser session under cylantro-last-site-lang. These settings remain on your device; the site's scripts do not send them to us.
You can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser. The site does not set analytics or advertising cookies.
Who may receive data?
Within Cylantro Labs, access is limited to the people who operate the website or handle the relevant enquiry. Technical operators involved in delivering internet traffic or email may process the data needed for that delivery. We may disclose information to a public authority when legally required.
Links to external websites take you to those sites. Their own privacy notices apply after you leave this site.
Questions and requests
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion or restriction of processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. The right to data portability applies where its legal conditions are met.
Write to info@cylantrolabs.com to exercise a right or ask a question. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or seek a judicial remedy.
We will update this notice if the site's operation or our processing changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
